SUPERINTENDENT

Location: Alaska State

Overview 

West Coast Concrete Restoration is a mid-sized union general contractor specializing in concrete restoration. We are in search of a Superintendent in Alaska to schedule, coordinate, and manage the daily construction activities and resources for assigned projects, set the project’s pace by being responsible for production, determining means and methods, leading and mentoring employees on WCCR processes, and providing a management presence in the field.

Responsibilities

Your position would include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Set project goals for employees to complete the work regarding safety, quality, and production / hours.

  • Establish the project’s client and internal needs that should be documented in the daily logs, photographs (before & after), field documentation, safety / COVID requirements, and validate entries.

  • Participate in the development and management of project schedules for company use, crew needs, and workload distribution following PM guidelines for budget.

  • Planning and ensuring all materials, equipment, lead times and inspections support the project schedule and deadlines.

  • Review company procedures with union employees, to include daily logs, timesheets, safety, cost code use, receipts, etc.

  • Handle all union staffing, hiring, and any disciplinary actions for crew (tardiness, incorrect daily reports, etc.). Terminate union employees as applicable.

  • Confirm all tasks at project handoff have been acquired or completed, including tasks, safety, budget, man hours, cost codes, client and site considerations, etc.

  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability. Review and understand contract documents.
